Hagstrom is an international company with a truly prolific past. Founded in Sweden, the company first found success as an importer of accordions. It wasn't until 1958 that the company made history when they became the first company outside the United States to mass-producer professional electric guitars. One of Hagstrom's top-selling guitars is the Viking Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar.
The company ceased production in 1983. In 2004 the brand was resurrected and is now in production in China. Hagstrom guitars were made in Sweden throughout the 1960s and 1970s; their fast-playing low action necks gaining them considerable kudos amongst musicians.
